FAO, CIFOR, IFRI Network and the World Bank LSMS and PROFOR programmes jointly organize this side event to launch the sourcebook ''National socioeconomic surveys in forestry: Guidance and survey modules for measuring the multiple roles of forests in household welfare and livelihoods", and to discuss ways to strengthen the collection and use of data on the socioeconomic benefits from forests and trees in the context of LSMS-type surveys.
