CAC41 Side Event: Facilitating Safe Trade: Experiences and Lessons from STDF Work
Rome time
The Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF) supports farmers, processors, traders and
governments in developing countries to meet international standards and access regional and global
markets. The STDF provides seed funding for the development and implementation of innovative SPS projects that create regional synergies and connect stakeholders from the public and private sector. This session will provide examples of recent STDF activities and projects to meet Codex standards and facilitate trade in food and agricultural products, and provide information on how to apply for STDF funding.
The STDF is a global partnership established by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the
United Nations, the World Bank Group (WBG), the World Health Organization (WHO), the World
Organization for Animal Health (OIE) and the World Trade Organization (WTO).
