COFO24 / WFW6 Side Event: How can agriculture, forestry and fisheries work together to achieve the SDG?

There needs to be strong efforts to halt deforestation and reduce degradation of biodiversity, soil and water. Sustainability of agricultural production systems would also be strengthened by integrating trees and forests into agricultural landscape management. This requires building a common vision of forest and trees in sustainable food and agriculture. It calls for pro-actively involving forest-related decision makers in policies and actions beyond SDG 15 “Life on Land”, including in particular on SDG 2 “Ending Hunger”.
