Relevant, accurate, up-to-date and transparent information on forests contributes to better reporting, policy formulation and decision-making at different levels. This event will highlight open-source digital innovations from FAO including SEPAL and ARENA and feature several country applications. The new technology of blockchain also offers a range of applications in forestry.
