45th Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission - Day 1 Morning Session

Plenary Hall (FAO Headquarters)
21.11.2022
 Rome time

The Codex Alimentarius Commission is where the world comes together to create food safety and quality standards to protect everyone everywhere. At this meeting 189 Members and more than 220 observer organizations will consider 20 standards, guidelines and codes of practice for adoption. Four proposals of new work will also be discussed. When Codex texts are adopted they become part of the Codex Alimentarius, or food code, an internationally recognized collection of food safety standards, established to protect consumer health and ensure fair practices in the food trade.
