Reducing food loss and waste plays a key role in agrifood systems transformation. The International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste  (IDAFLW) will be observed for the fourth time on 29 September 2023, and will make a clear call to action for public and private entities to take action to reduce food loss and waste (FLW) toward transforming agrifood systems to contribute to the achievement of the 2030 agenda.
