To commemorate FAO’s 80th anniversary and as part of the Green Climate Fund-backed project "Carbon Sequestration through Climate Investments in Forests and Pastures in the Kyrgyz Republic (CS-FOR)," 80 hectares of fruit and forest plantations have been established across four districts in Kyrgyzstan to promote reforestation and sustainable land management.
