We are all connected! From our food to our cultures, environment and economies, we live in a globalized world. Climate change, conflict and inequality can often leave groups of people behind because of who they are or where they live. Building a better, more sustainable future for all means no one can be left behind.
Find out how you can take action and be part of the change with the World Food Day Activity Book.
FAO’s Activity Book Series offers children a chance to engage with global issues in a fun and educational way.

In 2021, the European Space Agency astronaut and FAO Goodwill Ambassador, Thomas Pesquet surprised us with a message from outer space for the first edition of Junior World Food Day. This year, he was back on Earth and participated in its second edition alongside other exciting guest speakers including Lebanese media professional and FAO Goodwill Ambassador Darine ElKhatib and Spanish chef and food hero Joan Roca to call on young people to take action. The event also featured messages from FAO teams working in countries around the world that are experiencing food crises.
The Poster Contest calls on youth aged 5 to 19 to use their imagination and create a poster showing a world where no one is left behind, and everyone has access to healthy and affordable food. This year, your creativity was out in full force! Come and explore the winning posters.
School chefs from around the world participated in the World Food Day call for videos to share their school food experiences.
