Centre de Recherches Océanologiques (CRO)

The Centre de Recherches Océanologiques (CRO) is a National Public Research Establishment (EPN) with the status of a Scientific and Technological Public Administrative Establishment. The CRO's mission is to carry out the research needed to understand the aquatic environment with a view to preserving and protecting it, and to implement the rational exploitation and management of natural aquatic resources, which may be renewable or non-renewable, living or mineral. In line with these missions, the CRO is responsible for :
- promoting all technologies and systems that contribute to the development of the aquatic environment,
- providing scientific and technical information to the various social, professional and cultural circles concerned,
- to contribute to training, research and through research,
- to carry out research, production, expert appraisal or consultancy work in its areas of competence on behalf of external public or private partners.
