This edition of LEISA presents articles on responses to climate change, addressing the importance of integrated management of significant ecosystems, and the need to conserve the biodiversity of agroecosystems, and how these proposals are compatible with the economic growth of farming families. Today, the current situation prevailing in most countries, especially those in the Latin American region, has made further evidence, the need for changes in production systems, especially in agriculture. The climate change consequences have put an increasing demand on agroecological processes and their products. Farmers widely acclaim the interest in agroecology as a sustainable form of production with low external inputs and among a group of informed consumers, which guarantees healthy and toxic-free food, a demand which increases day by day.
