Asia and the Pacific

In this region, 40 agriculture heritage systems were designated so far in 8 countries: one in Bangladesh, 15 in China, 3 in India, 3 in Iran, 11 in Japan, one in the Philippines and 5 in the Republic of Korea, and one in Sri Lanka. Additionally, there are 10 proposals submitted to become GIAHS sites from 5 different countries.
