In early September, the Government of Azerbaijan announced the extension of temporary export duties on wheat and wheat flour through 1 May 2022. The temporary duty level of USD 200 per tonne was introduced on 16 February 2021, and due to stay in place until 1 May 2021. Prior to this, wheat and wheat flour export duties were respectively zero and 15 percent. Duties are expected to return to aforementioned levels after 1 May 2022.
