“Bridging the Divide” Photography Exhibition
FAO HQ Atrium
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is hosting a photography exhibition Bridging the divide running from 18 - 25 September 2017.
The exhibition has been organized by the FAO Strategic Programme on Resilience to highlight the work carried out under the project “Improving Livelihoods, Social Peace and Stability”, funded by the EU’s Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace (IcSP). The project was implemented by FAO from July 2015 to June 2017 in the Abyei Administrative Area (AAA), a contested area between Sudan and South Sudan, and aimed to reduce the risk of natural resource-based conflicts and enhance community resilience.
The photo exhibition was unveiled by Daniel Gustafson, Deputy Director-General, with Dominique Burgeon, Director TCE and Strategic Programme Leader – Resilience on Monday 18 Spetember 2017. Click here to view the pictures from the unveiling.
This exhibition coincides with a number of September 2017 events that revolve around the theme of sustaining peace: the launch of the State of Food Security and Nutrition in the world 2017 report, the Rome-based Hunger and Conflict Dialogue, as well as the International Day of Peace on 21 September.
