Final reflection workshop organized by TAP-AIS project in Cambodia

On 30 November 2022, the TAP-AIS project in Cambodia organized a final reflection workshop in Siem Reap with 36 key participants from stakeholder organizations.

The purpose of the final reflection workshop was to bring stakeholders together to reflect on project achievements and discuss a way forward to continue support to agricultural innovation initiatives. The workshop was presided over by Mr. Yin Chansothy, Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Agriculture (GDA) and opening remarks were made by Mr. Antonio Schiavone of the FAO in Cambodia.

The workshop brought together key project stakeholders from the Cambodia Agriculture Research and Development Institute (CARDI), the Cambodia Conservation Agriculture and Sustainable Intensification Consortium (CASIC), the Department of Extension for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DEAFF), representatives from farmers’ organizations, development partners (such as GIZ and Swisscontact), NGOs and local government.

The workshop was successful in sharing project achievements and spurring discussion between key stakeholders on potential collaborations moving forward after the TAP-AIS project closes in Cambodia in February 2023. The workshop was closed by Dr. Selvaraju Ramasamy of the Office of Innovation at FAO Rome.
