AquaCrop version 7.1 now available to download

AquaCrop is a crop growth model developed by FAO’s Land and Water Division to address food security and assess the effect of the environment and management on crop production.

AquaCrop simulates the yield response of crops to water and is particularly well suited to conditions in which water is a key limiting factor in crop production. The model balances accuracy, simplicity and robustness.

The latest version of the model (Version 7.1) is now available and can be downloaded here.

Access AquaCrop with standard Graphical User Interface (GUI) and database, as standalone programs for Windows, MacOS and Linux, and as open source on Github.

Among new features, AquaCrop 7.1 fine-tunes the simulation of perennial herbaceous forage crops and adjusts the reference Harvest Index (HIo) for inadequate photosynthesis.

Video tutorials, training handbooks and reference manuals are also provided here.
