This four-week course provides an overview of current global labor market trends in light of the financial crisis, and is intended to take a hard look at the challenges of employment creation by examining both demand-side and supply-side factors. Participants will be equipped with practical labor market analysis tools through exposure to the key labor market indicators that are used to assess the state of the labor market. It then introduces the MILES framework, which was developed in order to address various labor market issues, including macroeconomic policies, investment climates, labor market regulations, skills, employability, and social protection.
