Accelerating action to help end child labour in agriculture in Africa

 This online event aims to provide a platform for stakeholders in agri-food systems to discuss pathways and solutions that can escalate efforts to end child labour in agriculture in Africa. In focus will be pathways or solutions to support the implementation of the African Union’s Ten-Year Action Plan to Eradicate Child Labour, and policy recommendations for upcoming global fora.

What: Online event: Accelerating action to help end child labour in agriculture in Africa

When: Wednesday 29 September, 2021 11am GMT

Who: Participants will include technical experts, ministers of state, development partners, agricultural cooperatives, academia and research institutions, and civil society organisations.

Why: 2021 is the International Year for the Elimination of Child Labour, and FAO is reinforcing its commitment to finding sustainable solutions to #EndChildLabour in agriculture.
