FAO's members will meet from 25 June - 2 July for the 37^th biennial FAO Conference, the highest governing body of the Organization. The Conference will elect a new Director-General at this session.

The Conference will also declare that the world is free from the deadly cattle disease rinderpest. Ministers and high-level representatives will further discuss the State of Food and Agriculture and the role of women in agricultural development. The Conference will also approve FAO's budget for 2012-13. Over 100 ministers are expected to attend the conference
