Creative Commons licences can help researchers and other knowledge professionals share, reuse and build on agricultural research with greater confidence. This webinar will provide practical guidance on how Creative Commons licences work, how to select an appropriate licence, and what permissions and responsibilities apply when publishing or reusing research content.
The session will also address common mistakes and good practices in applying Creative Commons licences, as well as emerging challenges related to artificial intelligence. The discussion will be particularly relevant to FAO AGRIS data providers, repository managers, librarians, publishers, researchers and others working with or sharing agricultural research information.

About the experts
Ilkay Holt is Scholarly Communications Lead at the British Library, where she works on open access, open research, research support and training. She has extensive experience in scholarly communication and has worked with organizations including COAR and FAO.
Revekka Kefalea is a researcher and consultant specialising in cultural policy, digital cultural heritage and open access. She is actively involved in the Creative Commons Open Culture and Open GLAM communities, with expertise in open knowledge and access to cultural resources.
