The Center for Environmental Research and Services is a Cuban government research and innovation institution under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA). Its mission is to carry out scientific and technological projects, collaborative international work, and postgraduate training in environmental topics, agricultural sciences, and local development initiatives. It also manages and integrates protected areas such as Viñales National Park, the Guanahacabibes Peninsula, the Sierra del Rosario Biosphere Reserve, botanical gardens, and natural science museums as part of its environmental research and service activities.
