Institute of Agrobiotechnology (IdAB-CSIC)

إسبانيا
The Instituto de Agrobiotecnología (IdAB) is a joint research institute shared between the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Government of Navarra. The Institute of Agrobiotechnology and Natural Resources, the predecessor of the current IdAB, was established in 1999 as a research center jointly created by the Public University of Navarra (UPNA) and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). In 2004, it changed its name to the Institute of Agrobiotechnology (IdAB), with several research lines. In 2018, it became a Joint Research Institute jointly governed by the CSIC and the Government of Navarra.

Its main mission is to generate and develop basic knowledge that can eventually satisfy the social demands framed in the ‘one health’ concept, through the use of Biotechnology tools. It aims to be a reference centre in areas such as sustainable agriculture, plant biotechnology, animal health and microbial biotechnology.
