The Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) is a public university founded in 1989 on the island of Gran Canaria. The ULPGC has six campuses, three of which are located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, another in the municipality of Arucas (Gran Canaria) and two others on the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

In just a few years, the ULPGC has established itself as one of Spain's leading universities, excelling in research related to tourism, oceanography, veterinary medicine and public health. In addition, the ULPGC has a strong international mobility programme.
