The National Water Authority (original name: Autoridad Nacional del Agua – ANA) is a government agency in Peru responsible for the management, regulation, and protection of the country’s water resources. ANA oversees water allocation, quality control, and sustainable usage, ensuring that water resources support agriculture, industry, domestic use, and environmental conservation. The authority also develops policies, conducts research, and implements programs to promote efficient water management and safeguard Peru’s rivers, lakes, and watersheds for current and future generations.
