The purpose of the Universidad Nacional de Luján is to produce knowledge, transmit it and link with society, trying to provide solutions to the problems that afflict it and, at the same time, to seek the full development of the individual are the goals that characterize the university's work. In the specific case of the Universidad Nacional de Luján, those who shaped the idea of what it should be and which allowed its foundation by Law 20031 of 20 December 1972, conceived of a modern university, with a departmental structure, regional centres and linked in its research and extension work to the region from which it draws and which it aspires to serve.
