The Sociedad Española para los Recursos Genéticos Animales (SERGA) was founded in 1988. A non-profit scientific association whose scope of action is Spain and which is open to collaboration with other foreign societies of the same nature. Our objectives are to know, study and protect animal genetic resources, especially livestock genetic resources, existing in Spain. We study Ethnic groups and livestock breeds in danger of extinction.
