The Universidad de las Regiones Autónomas de la Costa Caribe Nicaragüense (URACCAN) is an institution with a community and intercultural approach. In 1991 URACCAN Association presented the project for the creation of URACCAN and URACCAN was in 1994 was the official inauguration of the University.
