Since its founding, the Association has played an important role in promoting Argentine ecological research and encouraging the dissemination of ecology and its application to environmental issues, contributing to the sustainable management of resources.

They organize the Argentine Ecology Meeting every two years, held in different cities across the country. This meeting brings together ecologist practitioners in Argentina to present their research. We also publish the scientific journal Ecología Austral and the Monthly Electronic News Agenda (AMEN), which is distributed free of charge to AsAE members and to anyone who expresses interest.
