Since its founding, the Asociación Argentina de Ecología has played an important role in promoting Argentine ecological research and encouraging the dissemination of ecology and its application to environmental issues, contributing to the sustainable management of resources. They organize the Argentine Ecology Meeting every two years, held in different cities across the country.
