Types of errors

The following types of errors or issues have been highlighted previously by Data Providers, but are not limited to these:

• Data Errors: These involve issues related to the accuracy and completeness of data. Data providers may report errors in metadata, request corrections to data entries, or inquire about missing metadata.
• Collection Placement Errors: Data providers may question why some of their records are not showing under their designated collections. 
• Duplicates: While not strictly errors, data providers may inquire about records that appear in collections other than their own due to duplicates.

How to report errors

Reporting errors to AGRIS is a straightforward process. Simply send an email to [email protected]  with the details of the error you've identified. Be sure to include:

1. Nature of the Error:

Describe the type of error you've encountered, e.g., metadata error, missing information, duplicate entry, etc.

2. Specifics:

Data Entry/Record Title: Provide the title or name of the record where the error is located.

Data Provider ID (ARN Code): Include your Data Provider ID or ARN code if available.

Link to the Issue: If applicable, provide a direct link to the record in question.

3. Supporting Evidence:

Attach or reference any supporting documentation, such as screenshots, that confirm the error and assist in its resolution.
