La FAO AGRIS gère le réseau FAO AGRIS, dans lequel des centaines d'organisations du monde entier apportent des connaissances et des données à la plate-forme FAO AGRIS, ce qui permet d'obtenir une collection bibliographique multilingue de recherches scientifiques en matière d'alimentation et d'agriculture, avec une attention particulière pour les informations scientifiques produites dans le Sud global. Why AGRIS's Pre-Digital Records Matter More Than Ever

FAO AGRIS was established in 1975 to facilitate international access to agricultural science and technology information by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Today, the database includes bibliographic records dating back to 1,900. More than 3 million records originate from the period prior to 1990, when scholarly communication was predominantly print-based and preceded the widespread adoption of web publishing. This long historical coverage positions FAO AGRIS as a structured archive of agricultural knowledge spanning over a century of documented research and technical information.
