FAO to set work priorities for Latin America and the Caribbean during Senior Officer’s Meeting of the Regional Conference

Technical delegates of the 33 member countries will debate about the regional priorities of the Organization for the next two years.

The opening of the Senior Officer Meeting of the 38 FAO Regional Conference for Latin America and the Caribbean(LARC38) will take place on 11 March 2024 at 10:00 a.m. GMT -3.

Delegates of the 33 member countries will participate in the meeting which will last for three days. The event aims to discuss the priorities that will guide the Organization's work in the coming years to achieve better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life, leaving no one behind.

ean, Mario Lubetkin, will lead the event. Eve Crowley, LARC38 secretary, will also participate in the SOM.

The Senior Officer Meeting will kickoff of the 38 FAO Regional Conference for Latina America and the Caribbean. Between 18 – 21 of March, Guyana will host the Ministerial Meeting.
