Our Partners
FAO’s cooperation with Armenia builds on three decades of trusted engagement and joint efforts to strengthen the country’s agrifood systems and natural resource management. Since joining FAO in 1993, Armenia has collaborated closely with the Organization to advance resilient agriculture, promote sustainable rural development, and enhance the stewardship of forests, land, and biodiversity. This long-standing partnership is reflected in the Country Programming Framework for 2026–2030, which sets a renewed and forward-looking agenda for deeper collaboration.
FAO Armenia works in close partnership with the Government of Armenia to advance national development priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals. Cooperation with the Ministry of Economy focuses on agriculture, food security, and rural livelihoods, while work with the Ministry of Environment supports sustainable forestry, biodiversity conservation, and climate action. FAO also collaborates with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure on local development and community resilience, and with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to promote social inclusion and gender equality across agrifood systems.
