To renew the composition of the Steering Committee of the High Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE-FSN) of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) a call for nomination of experts is taking place until 28 February 2023.

Le système alimentaire mondial est en crise. L'augmentation des coûts de transport, les perturbations des chaînes d'approvisionnement liées à la covid-19 et les déficits d'exportation de céréales liés à la guerre ont ébranlé, au cours des deux dernières années, notre paradigme de sécurité alimentaire fondé sur le commerce. Les crises, en particulier celles qui se prolongent, peuvent être des moments de changement. Alors que les entreprises et les institutions établies feront tout ce qui est en leur pouvoir pour maintenir le statu quo, le système alimentaire mondial pourrait être à l'aube d'un changement majeur – et ce changement pourrait être positif si nous l’organisons intelligemment.

During its 46th plenary session (14–18 October 2019), the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) adopted its four-year Programme of Work (MYPoW 2020-2023), which includes a request to the High Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE) to produce a report on “Reducing inequalities for food security and nutrition”, which will be discussed at the 51st plenary session of the CFS in October 2023.
