This partnership aims to improve knowledge of the markets for fishery and aquaculture products, especially in the frozen food sector; to support consumer access to these products in developing countries; and facilitate decision-making by operators worldwide. The partners will jointly develop trainings and promote research, technology and innovation related to food safety, quality or any other technical area of fisheries and aquaculture that has the potential to improves competitiveness of companies, increase the supply for consumers and foster the development of the sector, especially in developing countries.

The parties intend to collaborate on sound management of pesticides to reduce the risk of use of pesticides for sustainable crop production intensification and better protect human health and the environment. Data and information sharing regarding pest and pesticide management are a key objective of this Letter of Intent.

This partnership aims support the welfare of farm households and create positive dynamics and opportunities for economic growth. The cooperation will support promote the sustainable mechanization efforts in rural areas and encourage stakeholders to contribute to and participate in relevant meetings on agricultural mechanization under the global umbrella of the AgriEvolution Alliance.

This partnership aims to contribute to achieving food security for all and ensuring that people have regular access to enough high quality food to lead active, healthy lives. Together, FAO and SIPPO will promote sustainable food exports, create employment opportunities, secure livelihoods and improve incomes while ensuring sustainable management of natural resources. In addition, the partnership will promote sustainable fish and seafood trade through Development and Technical Programmes, norms and standard setting, knowledge management and dissemination, advocacy and communication and policy dialogue.
