Rabat - FAO Director-General QU Dongyu met today in Rabat with the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Forestry, His Excellency Dr Mohamed Sadiki, of the Kingdom of Morocco on the margins of the 33rd Session of the FAO Regional Conference for Africa (ARC33).

Rabat - FAO Director-General QU Dongyu today paid tribute to Morocco's agrifood system by visiting some of its most prominent research institutes, including the National Fishing Vessel Monitoring Centre, the Gene Bank and Biotechnology Laboratory at the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INRA), and the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute.

Rome- The Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) QU Dongyu today called for urgent collective action and increased funding to eradicate Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) during a meeting organized at FAO headquarters by the Friends of PPR group formed by Ambassadors from Rome-based UN Agencies.
