Smart farming, advisory,  financial,  and e-commerce are the digital agriculture use cases that have the potential to upscale in Nigeria.

Q1. Nigeria: The National Accelerated Food Production Programme,  Youth Empowerment Scheme, Green Revolution,  Operation Feed the Nation, Agricultural Development Projects, Farm Settlement Scheme, Agricultural Transformation Agenda, just to mention a few provide indirect support for businesses in digital agriculture in Nigeria.

Q2. To enhance the performance of the Agricultural policies and programmes in Nigeria, the following recommendations are suggested: 1. Adoption of social and gender-inclusive principles; 2. Adoption of people-centred, participatory, and need-based approach; 3. Active involvement of public-private organizations; 4. Active involvement of tertiary institutions to provide the scientific supports essential for effectiveness and sustainability; 5. Regular monitoring and evaluation.
