Dear Mr.NOEL MAGOR Thanks for your reflection and I do make a note of it. But being an individuals' website, probably no one Govt.department is interested to any such things like what you mentioned. : :( Mine is not a profit oriented site , it's more or less an NGO , may be individual's NGO, for the advocacy of organic farming.Even when I offered my services for launching and managing an elearning course to FAO, there was least resonse. However, I do my part on my own . :doubt: Trying to shoot the vermicomposting procedures step by step and try to explain in Engllish verbally along with some videclippings, if some day someone picks up and offers something like an etube version of video, then let's see how far my services are going to be useful to the society at large . :? If anything I can do individually , pl . guide me to enrich my website as I'm tired of running around any institution for support of this common cause. In that time,I would better do something on my own to the society. :D drg.gandhi

Hello Remi.remi
It's a great idea to replace verbal contents with visuals in the form odf animation pictures or cartoons but I'm afraid the cost would be a very profibitive factor ina business model .May be Govt. with its own initiative can think of doing this investing sufficient funds.
SIMILAR to this idea, I have n mind for my website on organic farming(www.farminggroup.org) wherein much more enquiries are on vermicomposting and a training in it. While I tried to put up an online training on this , my efforts could not gather much support from anywhere. On an individual basis I ill afford cost wise to do it with my own funds. Since my website itself managed with my own funds with no income whatsoever. A video filming of vermicomposting would do a lot of good to educate farmers as to how to do it themselves but I'm very sad that I could not do it.My site attracts 30000 hits a month , almos 1000 per day and so I wish soome one sponsor this project for the good of all farming community. Hi All MEMBERS I'm Dr.Gandhi from New DELHI , India.Basically an advocate of organic farming thro' my exclusive website www.farminggroup.org, I enthuse farmers to pursue the idea of Itegrated Polyculture Farming System. It's a panacea for all the evils of our chemical-driven intensive agriculture adopted by default as an aftermath of green revolution in India during the late nieteen sixties to overcome food grain shotages. Now , even the very authors of Greenrevolution are repenting their folly of putting the agricultural fields into en environmental ecological crisis hot-spot.Today Indian farmers' committing suicides has become a common scene day in and day out.But unless we go back to basics of the nature ,we would find it hard to reverse. :   lol:

I feel I could have participated but I think it's not too late to share anyting good for the farming community across the globe. From my past 4 years experience of launching an exclusive site for 'organic farming'(www.farminggroup.org) I could learn many things. Firstly , the no. of visitors of the site has steadily grown and so also the queries from people. Many are interested to know more on the training aspects in respect of organic farming , especially Vermicomposting like rural farming technology . Availability of such other organic farming input materials is also a matter of great concern .Even if in house self generated input materials are available to them , the process of getting "Third Party certification' becomes a matter of complication for a ordinary farmer who rarely moves out to a city/town in search of such agency fearing the cost involved. hence this new initiative of CGIAR will be of great use. But again who will steer this thro' till it reaches grass root level farmers? Pl. if anyone is aware of an organisation Who will be able to sponsor an elearning course on organic farming to such unemployed interested rural youths who, once trained in basic ICT, will be able to join this course so that they become the focal points of dissemination of knowlege to their own elder generation of illiterate farming community which is still active in their small landholdings in most of the developing cntries. If some organisation is ready to come forward , pl. contact .. as it would be possible to achieve the initiatives of CGIAR thro' this effort.
