Question 4

Technologies are changing. The secretariat has to have the input knowledge and contineous traing to the on going technologies innvation.

Imperative to know the nitrogen mix up in nature, methane release from various human and animal activities  as well from constant soaking of the roots of rice plants[constant water in paddy production fields] and carbon emissions from the cut crop of paddy etc.

Question 5

Social scintists-teachers,students shall be connected with the farming community Help them with the technologies Train them with the new technologies

Question 2

Farming solutions-shall be digitalized[1]available-region wise[2]area wise[3]technology used for seedlings to harvesting shall have no importance.

[a]The importance shall be food security

[b]less use of water

[c]conserve water for drinking purposes

[d]Escaping by saying the veternary doctor deals with the cows and buffalows

[e]Humans find no medicines -for masquitos, and other NCD

[f]Good communication with all the requiremnts of the farmer needs to be digitalised

[g]The money transfers shall be digitalised

Question 1

A serious need is village officers needs to be trained in to the technologies, and deliver same to the agriculture community.

2.Start a tab-in smart phone,and let the regional connectivity,digital/video/radio connectivity-interactive to e established.

3.Insurance companies needs to be linked to the owner/or land holder along with their Adahar or social security number.

4.Village development officers shall be able to byepass the immediate bosses when needed.

5.In put materials needs to be inside roofed buildings,having-silos,bins etc.Modernise the age old systems for people to use.[Bins-silos were in every house at least 70 years back]

Forum E-consultation on ethical, legal and policy aspects of data sharing affecting farmers

Day 5: Summarize the salient points of this discussion and recommend priority aspects for the f2f consultation

[1]Importance of Food Habits-Food production systems-Changes in Gene modification of food items.

[2]Water supply-irrigation systems-power-solar pumps and rural-urban water storage and eradicating Malaria/or controlling-avoiding snake bites/find treatments for rural and urban populations who produce the food.

[3]World wide rationale in implementing the rights for finance and ways to store and sell produce.Produce and sales connected to immediate local requirements.

Day 3: Long-term ethical, legal and policy changes needed to move from the current scenario to the desired scenarios

Submitted by Saripalli suryanarayana on Wed, 06/06/2018 - 19:03

Change in food habits, and using some of such which avoid fat, fatigue,or generate blood sugar are the Ethical issues.

Legal, the society is to have a pro farmer systems either made under rules, including consumption, generation and insurence.

The policies shall address to meet the demands of huge human power growth existing and likely to grow. The governments have to meet the challenges by implementing pro farmer-pro consumer policies.

Day 2: Desired scenarios for a future where data-driven agriculture is successfully adopted by smallholder farmers

Submitted by Saripalli suryanarayana on Wed, 06/06/2018 - 18:58

Much of Data what we need in future depends more on how and how much water is saved for each crop, including sugarcane. Are we getting any genetically modified food, with out complaints[after testing at least for 3 years].Are we using the water bore systematically for horticulture,is there solar power for pums available. Are the agriculturist is free from, pests, snake bites, and other Non communable deseages including malaria.

Safety, systematic production, insurence, and timely saving of crop produce and sales in markets.Disaster preparedness is the other.

Day 1: Major challenges from a policy legal and ethical perspective, preventing smallholder farmers benefiting from data sharing

Submitted by Saripalli suryanarayana on Wed, 06/06/2018 - 18:50

Benificial data was almost available even 30-40 years back. What the people of each society wants is that they shall not acess the individuals, records.

Forum e-Forum on ICTs and Open Data in Agriculture and Nutrition

What role can ICTs play in using Open Data in Agriculture and Nutrition for family farmers?

Submitted by Saripalli suryanarayana on Wed, 06/21/2017 - 07:53

ICT,Information and Communication technologies can be used,to understand the actual anual Rainfall, precipitation and run off.Irrigation is only to stabilize, and suppliment the natural rainfall. Thus storing water for all human needs is an essential feature of human living.

We do not encourage such practices, which do not suit the farming,in slopes or very loose pervious soils as the water retentivity of soils is less.It is also essential as our friends from India has suggested to know the "epidemiological system that with adequate data can be used to manage and forecast for prevention outbreaks of the disease and pest".In such cases humna lives are also at risk because of malaria. This has a tendency to breed and spread in standing waters.

Humans have arrived at  A staple food, or simply a staple, a food thatconstitutes a dominant portion of a standard diet for a given people. But if the irrigation practices fail due to uncertainities in climate they have two alternatives[1]Reduce slowly the intake or Rice or Wheat, while replenishing the quantity with the so called millets.[2]Swith over to some other millets, which can grow with less water.

Alternate genetic engineering to produce pest free Staple food, and find other resources with less quantum of water available are also on anvail. How ever the best for societies, and nations is to collect yearly data on [1]irrigated land[2]water storage[3]food production[4]Cattle use. These in relation with the population can find alternate markets for the farm produce and can fetch reasonable price for the produce.

Forum The Role of ICTs in Sustainable Crop Production Intensification (SCPI) of horticulture crop based system (mainly fruits, vegetables, roots and tubers)

From your understanding and experiences, what is the role of ICTs in sustainable intensification of horticulture crop based s

Technology is most important. The one which we can implement at present is making maure/soil mixture out of bio degradables. The second and most important is drip irrigation.Making the roots wet and using sensors at 03.m away to know the degree of wetness, and stopping water supply. These are very essential, where there is starvation for water, and where there is more populations in cities. Using the waste water by using simple storage and filtration systems apartment blocks can use the waste water for horticulture.
