Hello all, a belated introduction from me - I am the other half of the team which undertook the original research on ICTs and fisheries for the Sustainable Fisheries Livelihoods Programme, together with Pete Cranston. I am based in Brazil where I work as a freelance researcher, consultant and editor/translator on ICT for development. My knowledge of fisheries comes from all I learned doing this piece of research, and the many information resources I started tracking and documenting as a result - we now know of more than the 54 projects and initiatives included in the original database! I am delighted this forum is taking place and I look forward to hearing from fellow participants about their work and ideas on the use of ICTs in fisheries programmes and fishing communities.
