Advancing agroforestry on the Policy Agenda
A guide for decision-makers
These guidelines were developed from a mix of workshops, structured interviews with experts, and detailed national case studies from both the developed and developing world. According to the lessons learned, there are four critical conditions that encourage agroforestry: it should be beneficial to farmers and other land users; there must be security of land tenure; intersectoral coordination is essential and good governance of natural resources is crucial.
