The Ministry of Health in Botswana will host a World Food Safety Day event on the 7 June 2023. The Minister of Health, the Honourable Dr Edwin G. Dikoloti will deliver a keynote address and the Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Local Government and Rural Development will give Remarks. Meanwhile, the Minister of Entrepreneurship will give closing remarks.

The target audience is Food Business Operators, consultants, laboratories, packaging material suppliers etc, to sensitize them on food regulation and standards, as well as to encourage self-regulation. 

The CCAfrica Coordinator, Hakim Mufumbiro, will give a presentation on Food Quality and Standards and the relevance of Codex Standards.
