Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition (FSN Forum)

The FSN Forum: a partner at global, regional and national levels

The FSN Forum supports global, regional and national policy actors, who are increasingly interested in multisector and multistakeholder engagement to be better equipped to face the complexity and context specificity of food security and nutrition, and food system issues. The Forum embodies FAO’s role of knowledge broker, supporting its partners by facilitating access to valuable information and expertise from its members around the world. Breaking out of sectoral silos and linking different geographical and linguistic areas remains a challenge, so the FSN Forum provides a flexible and proven multilingual platform that partners can use to connect and exchange with a wide range of stakeholders across borders and disciplines.

FSN Forum partners

The FSN Forum has been working closely with a number of strategic global, regional and national partners. Key long-standing collaborations include those with the Committee on World Food Security (CFS), the High Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE-FSN) of the CFS, the Secretariat of the Second International Conference on Nutrition (ICN2), the Secretariat of the UN Decade of Action on Nutrition, and the FAO divisions of the Economic and Social Development stream, among others.

Collaborating with the FSN Forum

  • Increase the inclusiveness and relevance of global, regional and national policies and strategies;
  • Better inform their target audience and increase the transparency of policymaking processes;
  • Increase debate and the sharing of knowledge and experience at all levels;
  • Broaden the outreach and increase the visibility of their initiatives, programmes and projects.
