| Objective / Goal | This Readiness proposal seeks to increase food security by building adaptive capacity to the potential impact of climate change on national food security by i) strengthening of institutional and regulatory systems for climate-responsive planning and development; ii) implementing interventions to increase the generation and use of climate information in decision-making; iii) strengthening of adaptive capacity and reduced exposure to climate risks; and iv) strengthening awareness of climate threats and risk-reduction processes for improved security. The support focuses on the agriculture, fisheries and the agri-food sectors. |

| Impact |
This GCF Readiness support played a decisive role in enabling Grenada to strengthen national adaptation planning and move toward investable solutions for climate‑resilient food security. The programme supported the update of the Food and Nutrition Policy and Action Plan, embedding climate risk and resilience considerations into a key national framework. It also delivered sophisticated climate analytics, including a Climate Risk Atlas, a country‑specific Standard Precipitation Index, and a National Food Security Index. Combined with extensive stakeholder engagement and capacity building, these tools improved the government’s ability to prioritize adaptation actions and pilot climate‑resilient technologies. As a result, Grenada strengthened its evidence‑based decision‑making and institutional readiness, laying the groundwork for scaling up GCF‑supported adaptation investments that protect livelihoods, food security, and vulnerable communities. |
