Beekeeping for Women empowerment

FAO promotes forest-related activities and jobs that generate income to local communities, including women and vulnerable groups. Beekeeping and honey production is one of them.

FAO is raising awareness on such products as part of the forest ecosystem services that need to be sustainably managed and conserved for the benefit of communities that rely on them. This can be achieved through sustainable forest management.
