Empowering indigenous women through transformative social and economic change in Guatemala

Since 2014 the Joint Programme on Accelerating Progress towards Rural Women’s Economic Empowerment (JP RWEE) has supported over 7,000 women and 38,000 family members in Guatemala, empowering indigenous women through transformative social and economic change to help ensure that no one is left behind in the pursuit of gender equality and the realisation of the 2030 Agenda.

The programme is jointly implemented by FAO, IFAD, UN Women and WFP with the generous support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad).
