Virtual Call Centres — how farmers’ organizations in Bangladesh manage to thrive during the pandemic

FAO and the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) have been working with farmers’ organizations in Bangladesh since 2012. In 2016, the farmers’ organizations started a national network, the Sara Bangla Krishok Society (SBKS).

Through the Missing Middle Initiative of GAFSP, FAO is partnering with SBKS and its members, building their capacity and providing flexible financing. The VCCs are just one example of the impact of this powerful partnership.
