To meet the ambitious targets set by the Regional Plan of Action for Small-scale Fisheries in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea (RPOA-SSF), synergies among all actors working in the field – from the local to the regional level – are needed. These synergies will help to disseminate and scale up best practices, promote cooperation and identify gaps and areas for investment.

This interactive SSF mapping tool serves as a resource to promote awareness and build synergies among past, present and future projects on SSF being carried out in the field in the Mediterranean and Black Sea region. The mapping tool can also facilitate monitoring the implementation of the RPOA-SSF, as each project is associated with the relevant RPOA-SSF thematic section and specific topic it addresses.

Contribute with your project information

The SSF mapping tool is most useful when it is as complete and up-to-date as possible. Mediterranean and Black Sea SSF stakeholders are encouraged to give visibility to past, present or future projects addressing SSF by including them in the mapping tool.
