A Collaborative Initiative by FAO's AdriaMed and MedSudMed Programmes

The AdriaMed Programme, established in 1999, is a partnership between FAO, Italy, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests (MASAF) , and the 5 countries facing the Adriatic Sea, contributing to food and nutrition security by sharing of knowledge,  multi lateral and sectoral actions and collaborative networks, strengthening the capacities of fisheries institutions and generating scientific knowledge on aquatic food systems.

The Project is continuing to support scientific activities carried out in the Pomo/Jabuka Pits area on Nephrops norvegicus stocks. Under the cooperative framework of the Project, a video reading session was organized held to jointly analyse the data collected. The session was held in Ancona (Italy) from the 9th to the 20th of September 2019.

The Project initiated, with the cooperation of ISPRA (Italian National Institute for Environmental Protection and Research), the compilation of the available information on the Vulnerability Assessment (VA) to climate change on the small pelagic and demersal fisheries in the Adriatic.
