A Collaborative Initiative by FAO's AdriaMed and MedSudMed Programmes

The AdriaMed Programme, established in 1999, is a partnership between FAO, Italy, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests (MASAF) , and the 5 countries facing the Adriatic Sea, contributing to food and nutrition security by sharing of knowledge,  multi lateral and sectoral actions and collaborative networks, strengthening the capacities of fisheries institutions and generating scientific knowledge on aquatic food systems.

The Project is continuing to support scientific activities carried out in the Pomo/Jabuka Pits area on Nephrops norvegicus stocks.

For the analysis a total of 442 specimens (Female 222; male 220) with Total Length included between 20 to 30.5 cm were analyzed and a common set of Solea solea was created and circulated among the experts.
