"Hear from the Beneficiaries" Lucas Mandambu, a cocoa fermentary owner in #PapuaNewGuinea, is one of 400 farmers trained on Cocoa Quality Assessment by the #EU-funded STREIT PNG Programme. Now he hopes they can produce quality cocoa in the future.
EU-STREIT PNG Programme, in its efforts to improve vanilla production in Sepik region, is establishing vanilla treatment sheds across various central locations of rural villages where farmers have been intensively trained by the Programme on proper ways of farming vanilla.

EU Funded UN Joint STREIT PNG Programme, in collaboration with governmental and provincial authorities, works on providing technical support to equip [selected] public facilities in the Sepik region, including schools and health centers, with solar power generation to promote awareness of sustainable and renewable energy.
EU-STREIT PNG, as part of its mandate to expand the banking infrastructure and access to financial services and products across the Greater Sepik region, entered into partnership with a number of leading local micro-finance institutions to operationalise banking access points in the target areas with the aim to reach 150,000 beneficiaries in total.
