Trainings to tackle food waste continue in Turkey
03/08/2021 Ankara, Turkey– Each year over 1.3 billion tonnes of food produced worldwide is lost or wasted. Furthermore, the volume of wasted food is increasing in line with the growing world population. According to the United Nations, the global population is expected to exceed 9.7 billion by 2050, with food demand expected to increase by up to 60 percent over the same period, making food security a pressing issue.
