The 2022 Bioenergy Week enhanced learning from positive experiences on sustainable production and use of bioenergy. It highlighted various value chains, with a special focus on bioenergy's contribution to the sustainable energy transition, and provided to support the design and implementation of bioenergy policies in the Americas. Furthermore, it provided the opportunity to continue a dialogue with the private sector and other stakeholders on ways to improve mutual cooperation towards a more sustainable production and use of bioenergy.
The event was co-organized by FAO, the Global Bioenergy Partnership (GBEP), the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIC) of Paraguay.
The Bioenergy Week consisted of a three full day conference (26-28 September 2022) and a field visit at the INPASA biofuels plant (29 September 2022).
